Leslie Gordon - From Shop Floor to Software
My first love is manufacturing (specifically the shop floor) with software (CAE, CAD, CAM) a close second. If it's quirky, interesting, and relevant, you'll find it here. How about a salami-powered rocket or how designers are using CAD for "industrial archeology" to rebuild objects that no longer exist? Antique locomotives, slide-shows of visits to a digital factory in Hamamatsu Japan, and outsourcing? Yep, time to rant.
