The milage of your car or the speed you drive are not as important as Don't Use Your Brakes!
When approaching traffic coast into it, don't charge and brake. The same for ltraffic ights and stop signs.
Examples people brake for no appearent reason on the highway. One person brakes for 10 seconds will cause a chain reaction through the traffic that can cause the backups you experiance for no appearent reason and they have wasted your gas.
30 MPG goes up in dust (brake dust) when you use your brakes. Bottom line is how you drive not what you drive.
Most people on the road are steerers not drivers.
