    CFL's

    Back around 1975-1980 I was replacing CFL's in an Alcoa engineering facility in Pittsburgh, PA. These were ITT  tubes and had been there for at least  5 years. As I replaced them I noticed the new tubes would last only a few months. It seems incandescent lamps have improved (less heat

    more light allowing to lower the wattage while CFL's seem to have lost longevity and quality.
