Man vs. Cartoon

    Man vs. Cartoon

TruTV, the former Court TV, has just ordered six hour-long episodes of a new series called, "Man vs. Cartoon." The series is supposed to look at whether the stuff seen in cartoons is actually possible in real life.

Produced by Warner Horizon and Pilgrim Films & Television, the series will draw on Warner Bros. vast animation library for the situations to be investigated. Think of it as Mythbusters meets Wile E. Coyote.

The engineering aspects of some of the gizmos should prove interesting.  While I doubt they'll be able to investigate anything that involves the laws of Toon Physics, I'm sure they'll still find a plethora of items to look into. The one example they gave in the news release is whether it's possible to build a functioning human slingshot. Of course, the other question they need to answer revolves around the idea that if it is possible, what do you do with it after you build it?
