    Inventor seeking machinist

I have no idea what I'm looking for.  I designed a system that makes flipbooks from video that uses a business card slitter as part of the system.  There are several problems with the slitter and I'm wondering if I could redesign the machine for my purposes and make it perfect.  I have no idea if this is a project within an entrepreneur's budget or if I would need to be some huge corporation to make a new machine.  Does anyone have any thoughts about where I might begin to seek out guidance about machine design and fabrication.

No worries. Clever machinist/ engineers can devise a machine to do just about anything, possibly within your budget. I suggest you contact Richard Ledebuhr at www.proptec.com, 866-641-4671, he can give you some input and possibly work up a quote. Be prepared to send photos maybe for assistance explaining what you need done. I have worked with Dick for years, he can make just about anything. Another small job shop is Strong Products, www.strongproducts.biz. VERY nice well equipped machine shop. Either way, tell 'em Rocket Science sent you.
