  • How to control DC motor from 2 locations?

Greetings,  I am trying to retrofit an existing piece of industrial machinery to include a 2nd (remote) operator's console. The existing console features a rotary knob type operator interface for speed control (potentiometer wired to DC motor speed controller). This rotary type of input is preferred by the end user. Ideally, the operator ...

  • COFES 2008

Attending the COFES 2008 (Congress on the Future of Engineering Software) conference has been a nice surprise. For one thing, the event is being held at the beautiful Scottsdale Plaza Resort near Phoenix, Arizona. • Steel Casting vs Steel Fabrication

Hello Friends ... In designing an upstroke hydraulic press having Two daylights and overall Platen dimensions of 3164 mm x 1792 mm x 63 mm, it was felt that, while the structure could be of welded construction, the Platens, Press Bed and Hydraulic Cylinders/ Rams could be in CAST Steel. The questions are: 1. Is it technically ...

We need a motion controlled system, on the ''Z'' axis ONLY, 6 stop posistions all ABSOLUTE and they are 12'' ABSOLUTE apart. It is basically a table 6' long X 10'' wide that needs to go ...
